Paneer Tikka sizzler at Yogi's Kensington — tandoor-grilled cottage cheese with peppers and onions

Indian cuisine has been doing extraordinary things with vegetables, pulses and paneer for centuries — long before “plant-based” was a category. So the vegetarian dishes on the Yogi’s menu are destinations in their own right, not fallback options. Here’s what to order, course by course.

Starters

Palak Patta Chaat — crispy spinach with potato and avocado; bright, crunchy and made for sharing.

Chilli Honey Lotus Stem — crispy-fried lotus stem with bird’s eye chilli, sesame and hoisin; the starter everyone steals from everyone else.

Chilli Paneer — cottage cheese tossed with peppers in a tangy, spicy sauce.

Punjabi Samosa — the classic, with lime coriander, sweet yoghurt and tamarind chutney.

Veg Momo and Onion & Spinach Bhajia round out the choices — and you can start the table with Edamame Beans, Marinated Olives and a Basket of Mixed Poppadoms while you decide.

From the Tandoor

Soya Chaap (Mock Duck) — marinated soya pieces grilled to perfection in the tandoor, packed with Punjabi flavour. The menu calls it “a delight for any vegan, vegetarian lover”, and we agree — it’s the dish we point plant-based guests towards first.

Tandoori Malai Broccoli — fresh broccoli in a hung-yoghurt marinade with green chilli, ginger and garlic, charred in the clay oven.

Paneer Tikka — marinated Indian cottage cheese with pepper, onion and tomato, straight from the tandoor.

Mains

Methi Malai Paneer — cottage cheese in a saffron and creamy cashew sauce with mangetout and baby corn.

Paneer Tikka Masala — tandoori paneer tikka in a creamy tomato sauce; comfort food at its finest.

Banarasi Aloo — potatoes cooked in a tomato, cashew and spice gravy.

Vegetable Dum Biryani — aromatic basmati, mixed vegetables and cucumber chutney; a complete meal in a pot.

Dal, Rice and Breads Worth Fighting Over

  • Dal Makhani — slow-cooked black lentils with red kidney beans; order it for the table.
  • Tarka Dal — burnt-garlic yellow lentils, the lighter counterpart.
  • Mushroom Rice and Coconut Cashew Fried Rice — both vegetarian, both excellent for building a shared feast.
  • Grilled Garlic Broccoli — chargrilled tender-stem, garlic toasted.
  • Fresh naans — garlic, chilli-garlic & coriander, or the Peshawari naan stuffed with dry fruits that doubles as a starter and a dessert.

Dessert

The Gajar Halwa Spring Roll wraps warm Indian carrot halwa in a crisp shell — our signature fusion dessert. Gulab Jamun with Vanilla Ice Cream and Saffron Rice Pudding are the classics, and the Ferrero Rocher and Oreo milkshakes are there for the unapologetic.

Drinks Without Compromise

The bar takes the zero-proof crowd as seriously as the kitchen does: Mango Tango, Passion Fizz, Virgin Berry Mojito, Fresh Raspberry Lemonade and Virgin Havana Colada are built with the same care as the signature cocktail list.

Mixed Groups? That’s Our Speciality

The hardest part of group dining is finding one restaurant that genuinely works for everyone. At Yogi’s, standout vegetarian dishes sit on the same menu as tandoori lamb chops, Kashmiri Rogan Josh and coastal seafood curries — so nobody at the table is compromising. For private events, menus are tailored to your guests from the start.

A Note on Dietary Requirements

Tell us about allergies, vegan preferences or strict dietary needs when you book — dishes like the Soya Chaap are naturally vegan-friendly, several others can be adapted, and our team would rather adjust a dish properly than have you guess. All food is prepared in the same kitchen, so do flag allergies to the team.
